Description
The V-60HD vision mixer is a powerhouse that delivers the capability of a broadcast suite into one compact device, ideal for almost any live production & streaming environment, and is available to hire in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. The unit is equipped with 7 vision input channels and an 18-channel audio mixer. It is equipped with professional-grade broadcast Cross Point buttons, featuring PGM/PST LED colour indicators, a durable T-Bar, and DSK quick-edit knobs for adjusting key level and gain. It also includes dedicated PinP and Split buttons, along with knobs for precise centre framing of Split and PinP placements. You can select transition types with the mix option or use the two preset wipe buttons, and control the transition dissolve time with a dedicated knob. Additionally, a three-inch LCD display provides quick-access menu navigation to easily adjust switcher parameters.
VIDEO
The V-60HD features a DSK (downstream keyer), Picture-in-Picture (PinP), and split composition effects, making it ideal for producing news-style broadcasts and corporate presentations. PinP window shapes include rectangle, circle, heart, and diamond patterns, adding a unique flair to events. The ability to crop PinP and adjust the centre split allows for better composition, particularly when using content from vertically oriented sources like smartphones.
The DSK allows for overlaying titles, song lyrics, logos, or graphics from video sources, with up to three layers of composition. It supports both Luminance Keying (Black/White) and Chroma Keying (Blue/Green) for blending two video sources. Additionally, the extra layer of PinP, along with your background video, enhances the creative possibilities for live production environments.
You can switch any of the connected input sources to any of the four SDI or HDMI outputs without altering the main PGM destination. The AUX-linked PGM feature allows the AUX output to synchronise with the Program (PGM) output.
The V-60HD allows you to preview all six video inputs, two still images, PGM, and PVW on a single preview monitor using the Multi-View output. Additionally, you can display the menu on the Multi-View screen to adjust settings without losing focus on the preview display. Swap PGM and PVW windows and edit input label names.
AUDIO
The V-60HD comes with an 18-channel audio mixer that includes four XLR/TRS combo jacks with 48V phantom power, an RCA stereo pair, and de-embedded audio from the six video inputs.
The V-60HD’s preamp and dynamics effects feature a high-pass filter, gate, compressor, 3-band EQ, and delay. The built-in effects library, introduced with Version 2.5, offers presets for common production scenarios such as interviews, ambient sound recording, and wind noise reduction during field recording. These effects are easy to set up, even without extensive audio knowledge.
The Auto Mixing function automatically adjusts levels across multiple audio sources, ensuring the correct mix for panel participants at conferences. This allows the AV operator to concentrate on video switching. Additionally, you can assign channel-specific weighting, giving the moderator or priority audio channel a higher volume level.
Embed up to eight analog audio inputs on separate channels within the SDI 1 and 2 outputs. You can choose from a range of feeds—pre-effect (dry), post-effect and pre-fader (wet), or post-effect and post-fader (wet)—to suit your post-production needs after the live event. This feature is also ideal for multi-language events, allowing you to record a voice-over or language translation on its own dedicated audio channel.
